ZONE ALARM FIREWALL SETTINGS FOR BIT TORRENT
All of the paid versions of Zone Alarm offer the ability
to block or unblock specific ports or port ranges. The expert rules tab of the
firewall section is where this can be done.
Zone alarm free version you cannot unblock individual
ports what you can do is add a program. On the programs tab click on add then
enter the name of the program, this will place it in the trusted zone. But even
that does not always work. Best to use Zone alarm pro if you want total control
and flexibility
Zone Alarm is a brand of security software which
can act as a firewall, blocking certain ports from being used, unless you
configure it to allow them.
If you are using the "free" version of Zone
Alarm, you
will need to change the Internet Zone Security slider to Medium while you are
using EchoLink. Other versions of Zone Alarm (such as Zone Alarm Plus and
Zone Alarm Pro) let you set more specific rules while leaving the security level
at High, which is preferred.
